Welcome to Mandir Yatra. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the
personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and
safeguards your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: If you sign up or log in via Email or Google Sign-In, we store
your full name and email address securely using Supabase Authentication.
- Yatra Progress Data: Your marked temple visits, visit dates, and badges earned are
synchronized with our cloud database to provide backup and leaderboard features.
- Location Data: When you use the Temple Map or check-in verification feature, the app
accesses your device's precise GPS location (foreground only) to calculate proximity to sacred mandirs.
Your exact coordinates are never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To calculate accurate distance between your current location and 36 sacred temples.
- To display your pilgrimage progress, badges, and optional leaderboard ranking.
- To sync your yatra progress seamlessly across your devices.
3. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party or advertiser. All data
transmission between the app and our backend is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS protocols.
4. Account & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
You have full control over your data. You can request or perform complete account and data deletion through either of the following methods:
- In-App Deletion: Open Settings ➔ Data ➔ Delete Account inside the Mandir Yatra
app. This permanently purges your account, login credentials, leaderboard records, and all synced yatra
progress.
- Online Account Deletion Request: If you cannot access the app, you can submit an account & data deletion request by emailing us at abtronics@ybl with the subject line "Mandir Yatra - Account and Data Deletion Request" and your registered email address. All associated user data, credentials, and synced records will be permanently deleted within 30 days of request verification.
5. Third-Party Services
Our app utilizes trusted services that operate under strict privacy standards:
- Supabase: For secure database management and user authentication.
- OpenStreetMap: For interactive temple map tiles.
- Wikimedia Commons: For open-licensed public temple photography with legal attribution.
